Updates and patch notes
Gurugram Life gets new features every few days. Here is what changed, newest first.
Always something to do
- A new player is in the action in seconds: Chintu Chor snatches your phone at Rajiv Chowk, catch him for ₹1,000, and Chacha hands you his old Khatara 800.
- Agla kaam strip, ₹50 auto to any GPS point, wanted stars with chai-paani, and a gift every few minutes.
- Khel: time trials, pothole dodge, stunt jumps and the golgappa challenge, with medals and Top 10s.
- A 7-day login calendar (day 7 paints your car gold), a free daily lucky draw, a chai tapri or car wash that earns while you are away, ₹2,000 crews with a weekly sector war, and a Bullet for you and a friend you invite.
- Bade Kaam open with a short scene, the next one phones you, and a cliffhanger after each. Lite graphics for older phones, and gamepad support.
Playtest fixes: 38 bugs
- Missions and jobs survive a reload; nobody starves on arrival; the hospital and every start point stand on open road; the way out of your home glows on the floor.
- GPS routes follow the roads; the camera never swallows you against a wall; vehicles slide off walls; races give you a car and honest results.
- Fair Don fights with health bars; food shops in the street serve food; parked cars can be stolen; English, Hindi and Haryanvi text fixed across the story.
Batua: fights now pay (and cost)
- Knock someone down and their wallet or purse falls on the road with a little cash. Walk over it to take it.
- Get knocked down by a chhora and he grabs your batua before the ambulance comes, so pick your fights.
Bade Kaam, guns, gangs, land deals and petrol pumps
- Start with an empty pocket. The story now moves through seven Bade Kaam: real jobs with fights, chases, a car theft, an ambush and a final showdown with Dalal Bhai.
- Desi katta and dunali from Bittu Hathiyaar wala; recruit a gang from the akhara (everyone sees them); buy and sell land as prices move.
- Four petrol pumps and fuel for every vehicle. Police now arrest and fine you instead of taking your car.
- A game day is now 15 minutes, with three quick kaam each day. Street people stop, chat and turn back instead of walking in circles. More street sounds.
Sapno ka Shehar: from the footpath to a farmhouse
- New main story: new players start on the footpath at Rajiv Chowk with ₹500. Finish all of a day's tasks and the next home is yours, free.
- Seven homes with their own interiors, from a shared PG room to a farmhouse with an indoor pool and a garage for your cars. You wake up at home every session.
- Five dreams in Menu → Sapne: lavish home, lavish car, jeevansathi, money and jewellery.
- Rishta and shaadi: Mausi ji's match, a cafe meeting, a long drive, the ring and the wedding. Your spouse waits at home.
- A 20-second intro film for first-time players shows the dream with your own avatar, with a Hindi narrator. Skip it any time.
- New jewellery at Goyal Jewellers: an engagement ring and a diamond set. Players who already own homes keep everything.
Real autos, cars, trucks, buses and cows
- Traffic now uses detailed 3D models: a green-and-yellow auto rickshaw, hatchbacks, sedans, 4x4 jeeps, an orange truck with Horn OK Please and a city bus.
- The Haryana Police jeep, the Bullet and the Scooty got real models too.
- Cows on the road are now zebu bulls that graze and swish their tails.
- New Credits screen in the game menu, and on the About page, naming every artist whose work is in the game.
Screenshots, Hindi pages and a trailer
- Every place page now has real in-game screenshots, missions, earnings, tips and a real-vs-game comparison.
- Hindi pages: गुरुग्राम लाइफ़ (/hi), कैसे खेलें and जगहें.
- A 20-second gameplay trailer on the About page, and an RSS feed for these updates.
- Fix: people right in front of a fast-moving camera now always show their realistic body.
A page for every place
- Every Gurugram area in the game now has its own page with real-life background, things to do and nearby places.
- New Updates page (this one).
Sound like GTA, street dogs and talking NPCs
- Sound now starts with your first tap on phones.
- Street fighters, drivers, race rivals and the Gali ke Don bosses speak their lines out loud in Hindi and Haryanvi.
- Radio plays in vehicles, with RJ Bunty, station idents and funny ads for in-game businesses. New English Hits channel.
- City sounds on foot: horns, autos, crows, koels, vendors calling and temple bells. Soft footsteps and punches.
- Chase music that builds up as the police close in.
- Desi street dogs that sniff around, bark and run away from speeding cars.
Realistic world and 3D people
- Realistic 3D people with clothes, hair, skin tones and real animations.
- Sky with clouds, sun shadows, reflective glass towers and shiny cars.
- Detailed roads, zebra crossings, black-and-yellow kerbs, pavers and building walls with AC units.
- A proper CNG auto, better cars, buses and trucks, and desi cows.
Cleaner screen on phones
- A smaller, less crowded HUD on phones so you can see the city, with one notification at a time.
Languages and the Gali ke Don story
- Pick English, Hindi or Haryanvi on the first screen. Hindi is written in Roman letters.
- Bollywood radio for Hindi and English players.
- Gali ke Don, a five-chapter gangster story: it starts with a phone call and the boss comes to the nearest corner.
Monsoon and boats
- Weather for everyone in the city, from drizzle to extreme rain, with roads that flood as it pours.
- Buy a boat and outrun the Jal Police on the water.
Avatar creator, races and daily tasks
- Make your own avatar and choose where to start.
- Street races against five rivals, daily tasks that unlock the next level, and AI players when you are alone.
- Easy GTA-style controls on phone and laptop, and a 3D city map.
